Brenna and Becca's story started where all great love stories begin... in line for Bar Review at the Sinclair. A few days later they met again at a movie night at a mutual friend's apartment. Neither of them could have known that two small meetings on late summer nights would lead to forever. Later that month, fate intervened again when Brenna spotted Becca at the first LAMBDA meeting of the fall semester. Becca walked into the room and it was love at (third) sight. 

After a month of running into each other on walks with their dogs (Luna and Sully) on Langdon Street, where they both lived, Brenna finally got Becca's number from a mutual friend and asked her out. They shared their first date at a local favorite—Barcelona Wine Bar. The evening stretched on for three unforgettable hours, filled with laughter, conversation, and the first sparks of something special. At the end of the night (after realizing they were the last people in the restaurant and that the staff had already reset all the tables and locked the door) Brenna and Becca walked back to Langdon Street together and from then on, they were inseparable.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Even though they had only been dating a few weeks, Becca asked Brenna to spend New Years with her. After winter break, and a nine hour time difference over January term, Brenna and Becca picked up right where they had left off. As the spring semester blossomed, so did their relationship. They began blending their friend groups and daily lives, creating a foundation of love, support, and shared adventure. In May 2023, Becca graduated from law school and started a new chapter in New York, while Brenna stayed behind in Cambridge to complete her final year. Distance only strengthened their love, and over the next year, they built a life together across cities—celebrating holidays with family, going to Broadway shows, marking their one-year anniversary, picking out their first Christmas tree, and going on endless walks with Luna and Sully.

 

In May 2024, they closed the distance for good when Brenna graduated and moved to New York. Just a few months later, on a crisp and golden summer morning in August, they set out on a hike along the Potomac River. Surrounded by the beauty of the season and the quiet magic of the moment, they got engaged on the riverbank—taking the next step in a love story that began with a chance meeting in line.
